Safety Guidelines for Floating Bunks
Supervision of Young Children
Floating Bunks are designed for use by children ages 8 and older. Children under the age of 8 should not use the top bunk due to the risk of falling. The top bunk is intended for one child only. Always supervise children when using the bunk bed. Use of the bunk bed is at your own risk. We strongly recommend the installation of safety rails on the top bunk to prevent accidents. We do not accept responsibility for accidents caused by improper use or failure to follow the safety guidelines.Install Safety Railings
We highly recommend adding extra safety railings around the top bunk to prevent falls. Additional railings on the stairs are also encouraged for added stability.Weight Limit
Each floating bunk is designed to support a maximum weight of 500 pounds. Exceeding this weight may compromise the safety and integrity of the bed. We do not recommend more than one person on the bunk at a time.Secure Installation
Ensure the bunk is securely installed according to our guidelines, with proper anchoring into wall studs. We recommend professional installation for optimal safety.Regular Inspections
Periodically check for any loose screws, lags, or cables, especially after heavy use. Ensure that the bunk and its components are stable and securely fastened. No Jumping or Rough Play
For safety, avoid allowing jumping or rough play on the bunk. While sturdy, excessive movement could cause instability.Use Non-Slip Stairs
Our floating bunks come with wide, slip-resistant stairs, but be sure to maintain the stairs' condition. If any wear or damage occurs, replace or repair immediately.Avoid Overloading the Under-Bunk Area
While the space under the bunk is perfect for storage, avoid overloading it with heavy or unbalanced items, as this could affect the stability of the bed.Keep Climbing Safe
Encourage safe climbing and descending from the bunk using the stairs, not by attempting to climb the bed frame or railings.
